For us single ladies, the wedding day is one of the most spectacular days of our lives and so we go out of our ways to plan adequately in other to ensure that nothing goes wrong on that day. Extra efforts are put into venue arrangements , wedding cakes, bridesmaids apparels and most especially the wedding dress.
While doing a little research I came across several ugly wedding pieces which threw me into shock. And it made me wonder why brides still find it difficult to look gorgeously beautiful on their wedding day despite the fact that we are in the jet age where firsthand information on any subject matter can be gotten easily
Swaddling clothes
This seems to be the apparel used to wrap newborn babies in the days of old.....but here, milady thinks its appropriate for her one special day
Peek-a-bo
This was certainly tailored to distract the officiating priest/minister
Tulip
I don't know about you but she certainly reminds me of the tulip plant
Executive
I know marriage is a serious affair.... But come on, it can't be this bad
Tacky
This is just plain tacky... Enough said
Bizarre
She obviously wants to leave a lasting memory in the mouths
of her guests
Milking maid
....and she lived happily ever after in a farmhouse
The " mummy"
She could as well as asked to be mummified on her wedding day
Christmas lights
What better way to get s bride to 'glow' on her wedding day...
Why bother

If you dont want to end up looking like these or even worse on your wedding day ,the following must be considered when choosing a wedding dress
- Make adequate research by browsing through bridal websites and magazines
- Decide on a budget puting into considerations accessories to go along with the wedding gown ensuring that the cost of all these dont exceed 10-20% of total wedding budget
- Start the busines of choosing a gown as early as possible, probably the moment you get engaged but not later than a month before the wedding so you're not rushed into making regrettable and irreversible choices
- Dont follow the trend instead of your personal style and body type should be considered
- Dont allow yourself to be confused, cajoled and bamboozled by shop owners or designers, go with your gut
- Try on as many gowns as possible, if you don't see a gown that suits you In a particular shop, move to the next
- When shopping for a gown, go alone or with a friend or a trusted relative , u don't need a crowd of friends as too many cooks spoil the broth
- After trying on the gown, walk around and sit in it and make sure you feel comfortable, beautiful and confident in it
- Make sure to schedule a day to fit your and accessories along with the gown to see how it fits
"Wear the gown, don’t let the gown wear you. There’s nothing worse than seeing a gown walk down the aisle and not noticing the bride is in it.” —Robert Bullock, Designer, Robert Bullock Bride
